Prayer Garden & Memorial

Our Vision, Plans & Progress

Memorial Prayer Garden

When we build on a firm foundation of Christ, we can withstand whatever comes our way.

This garden was inspired by personal experience with prayer gardens and prayer.

Taking something barren and making it fruitful

A QUICK LOOK AT EACH SECTION (as of September 2025)

SECTION 1

MEMORIAL CIRCLE

A beautiful monument for aborted children is the center of this section, surrounded by an area of evergreens that symbolize eternal life, with a backdrop of woods. This area was designed to honor lost loved ones.

Here you can reflect and pray for your loved ones, allow yourself to grieve, pray for aborted children and victims of abortion, or talk to the Blessed Mother and place your cares in her hands.

Memorial bricks and shrubs can be sponsored in memory of loved ones.

SECTION 2

PRAYER GAZEBO

A little "prayer tent" connected to the Memorial Circle, where you can sit under its protection from the elements to relax, pray, reflect, read, and enjoy the quiet serenity of the surrounding garden with a view of the woods and Wildflower Circle.

Use this gazebo yourself or gather with others for group prayer, socializing, group study, or for memorial services. Resources will be available for learning or deepening relationship with God.

Four benches and shrubs are availabe to sponsor in memory of a loved one.

SECTION 3

ST. JOSEPH PRAYER NOOK

A short rock-lined path leads to a little nook in the brush, to the side of the Prayer Gazebo, where you can sit and pray in solitude with St. Joseph.

This is a small, private place behind the brush and trees where you can be alone and feel the hug of God when you are feeling overwhelmed, insecure, or hurting. Or where you can talk to St. Joseph, request intentions, and feel the strength and faith of the foster-father of Jesus.

Shrubs are available here to sponsor in memory of a loved one.

SECTION 4

BEATITUDE PATH

Walk along the path of Beatitudes, an area along the treeline marked with flower beds and vases, rocks, the lines of the Beatitudes, and places to sit along the way, in front of a treeline backdrop with a view of the rest of the garden.

Offer your thoughts to God next to the beatitude that pulls at your heart, among the flourishing plants, and reflect on how the Beatitudes can help you to flourish. Resources will be available for deeper reflection and connection with God.

Plaques and shrubs will be available to sponsor in memory of loved ones.

SECTION 5

REFLECTION CROSS

An 8 foot cross, surrounded by a boulder "mountain" with a shrub backdrop and four benches will create a perfect place to leave your worries, offer your sufferings, surrender, reflect on Jesus, and pray.

This area will be at the end of the Beatitude Path and can be used for personal prayer and reflection or for group prayer.  Allow the peaceful sounds of the garden open your senses so that you can feel God's love and be open to experience healing from our Savior.

Four benches and two shrubs will be available to sponsor for loved ones.

SECTION 6

ST. FRANCIS SCRIPTURE YARD

Shrubs of various sizes and colors will fill this corner, with Scripture passages and places to sit interspersed within them.

This area will offer a place to hide within the shrubs, surrounded by God's words, when you need some direction, and be comforted by God's voice speaking through written word within His creation.  You can also just walk through the shrubs reading the Scripture passages for times when you may need to hear them.

Benches, shrubs, and small statuettes will be available to sponsor in memory of loved ones.

SECTION 7

ROSARY TREE

A wooden, circular bench will surround this great tree, whose branches will reach down around you, surrounding you with their protection.

Here you will be able to pray yourself or with a group, find prayer resources, and have a view of each area of the garden, to help bring you to a place where you can connect more deeply with God.

The sections of the bench will have inscriptions and images representing the mysteries and decades of the Rosary , and are available to sponsor in memory of a loved one.

SECTION 8

ANGEL WILDFLOWER CIRCLE

Sit in the midst of a small wildflower field, along with a couple angels and a small fountain to reflect, pray, read.

This area overlooks the Memorial Circle, St. Joseph Nook, and the surrounding woods.  It's a great place to relax and hear the murmurs of God in the openness of the wildflowers and butterflies, with the gentle sound of running water from the "mini waterfall".

Sections of wildflowers are available to sponsor in memory of a loved one, along with the two benches and angel statues.

SECTION 9

STATIONS OF CROSS WALK

Take a walk with Christ along the Stations of the Cross, embedded in a semi wooded area.

This area is still being planned and we're hoping to start working on this in the summer of 2026.
